VVSA Chinese and Silent Auction Information

November 22, 2010

Hello!  We are proud to announce the VVSA Chinese and Silent Auction Page.

Incorporated in 1986, Vermont Volunteer Services for Animals Humane Society is a non-profit organization. We are adult & children volunteers who care deeply about animals and our community. The cornerstone of our efforts is to educate and promote the importance of spay/neuter and responsible and humane treatment of animals. VVSA produces a weekly television show,“FOR THE ANIMALS” that can be seen on VT public access channels or by viewing episodes on our website:  vvsahs.org.

Our donors have contributed a plethora of exciting prizes this year so we have decided to do things differently than in the past.  For the bulk of the prizes we will be running a “Chinese auction.”  This is similar to a raffle, however, instead of there being one “hat” to draw out of, each prize gets its own “hat.”  Essentially, participants can buy as many raffle tickets as they wish and choose which prizes they want those tickets to go towards, and how many tickets they want to put towards each prize.

For our bigger prizes, however, we will continue to do a silent auction.  The prizes have been divided on this page by category so you are aware of what we will be offering.  The silent auction prizes will have their own category and you are welcome to either email us with bids or leave bids for the items in the comments under the Silent Auction heading.

The auctions will be held at Melaza in Woodstock, Vermont on Sunday, December 12 during brunch.  More information on the brunch menu and details about the auctions will be forthcoming.

If you would like to make a bid on any of the silent auction items, please email your bid to Sue Skaskiw at the following address: vvsahssilentauction@gmail.com.  Please include the item number in the subject line.  Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have and thank you for your support!
